Description
Hi, i have a 1996 white mercury cougar, the car runs and looks good(considering the minor front end damage). the only thing is is that the car wont go in reverse and wont shift into 3rd. i goes just fine in 1st and second but wont go into its 3rd gear. i have taken the car to a mechanic and has been connected to the diagnostics and he was able to put it into reverse and worked fine, he believes that is has some sort of communication problem, i bought another cougar and its a 1994 and it was supposed to be a parts car, it has a v8 and also runs, it has around 160,000 miles, not sure though. that car drove and worked perfect and that transmission was put into the 1996, after put in the car did the same exact thing, so the transmission is fine. im not sure, if you buy the car you have the option of taking the other car for 100$ with no title, thats how i got it. The 96 has a title. Reserve is 200$
